The Calculator presumes that both parties have a similar level of strategic capabilities, no significant strategic advantage, and variety in combat roles. Usually, the player characters outperform enemy creatures in at least two of these categories, and it might be wise to presume their chances to be one category easier than the calculator suggests.
| Combat Strength compared to Player Group | Combat Chances |
|---|---|
| <25% | Enemies have almost no chance. |
| 25-50% | Mostly easy combat. The players have a high chance of success. |
| 50-75% | Resource-draining combat that should still be winnable. |
| 75-100% | Very dangerous. Good chance that a player might die. |
| 100-150% | High chance of total party kill. |
| 150-200% | Only winnable with advanced tactics or a ton of luck. |
| >200% | Total party kill is almost guaranteed. I suggest players retreat or die. |
You can fill in the number of players and enemies and compare their strength with the “Add to Group” and “Add to Enemy” options.
Alternatively, fill in the number of player characters as with the first option, and then fill out the number of creatures you want from different ranks, the difficulty max percentage you want, and then click on the “Auto Fill” button to automatically add the creatures with the correct levels to the enemy side. The Level Priority option allows you to force a difference in level between the different ranks equal to the number.
